"Our ideal is simplicity: after all, it would make no sense to hide or compete with the beautiful view."
This is why we pick only fresh first quality ingredients, combine them in our traveller's melting pot, tickle your senses with a good wine, and invite you to take back your time for contemplation.
"Nobody could sleep in the hammock, for the house had no walls..." Vinicius de Moraes
You will see no stars on our menu, because we don't use frozen products. All our vegetables, fish & meats are bought daily at the local market so we can guarantee the freshness of our products. Dishes available daily depend on what we find at the market and on the chefs' inspiration.
A few words on our ingredients, because food is poetry.
We use only olives and olive oil from our own Kalamata olive trees, Oil is made at an early stage of maturation of the olive and is called in Greek "Agureleo" which gives less quantity per tree but the best taste and quality. You will taste olives and oil at your table, Olive jars and olive oil bottles are available for you to take home as well, just ask us!
Salt at your table is Himalayan pink salt, rich in flavor. You can add it to raw and or cooked food.
Pasta is Italian Barilla pasta only, since we believe the Italians know what they are doing with pasta and is cooked "al dente". If you would like it more cooked, please let us know when you order! We cook pasta upon the order, so give us approx 15-20 min to get it ready for you. Risotto may take a little longer.
Tomato sauce is made with fresh tomatoes or with canned Italian tomatoes of San Marzano, for the same reason described above on Italian pasta tradition.
Bread is made from the local most popular 24hours bakery, just round the corner.
Many Greek traditional dishes such as Mussaka are made with love specially for us by our local chef specialized in homemade dishes.
All entrees, pastas and dishes of the day are cooked daily in our kitchen with great care and love, following traditional recipes spiced up with our traveling taste
